BOURBON FLIGHT

Bourbon is made primarily from corn and is the most popular American style of Whiskey. Legally, bourbon must be produced in the USA, be made from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in virgin charred oak barrels. The minimum maturation time requested is only 24 hours, so bourbons can be as young as 3 months old before bottling but a minimum of two years is needed for those labeled straight bourbon. Due to the heavy corn influence, bourbons are sweeter and the virgin American oak gives Bourbon its distinctive vanilla flavours.

Highland Speyside Flight

Often, Speyside is considered a sub region of the highland region, as they both have similar customs and styles. Typically these scotches offer fruity flavour profiles with vanilla, honey and spice notes. These whiskies are sherry heavy and are great introductory whiskies as well as being favourites of particular whisky connoisseurs.

Cask Finish Flight:

The term finishing means that instead of the different barrels being blended together, the liquid is actually transported from one barrel to another to finish. Usually for about 18 months to 2 years. The final barrel thusly has a larger influence on the flavour profile.
